# Adding Portlets

On the right-side panel, you’ll find a variety of portlet types—such as Charts (Line, Bar, Pie, Area, Scatter), Network Graphs (Bubble Maps, Sankey, Dependency Wheel), Dynamic Values, and Static Elements (Text, Image, Frame). Simply click the desired portlet type to add it to your blank canvas. The new portlet will appear automatically, ready to be configured.

1. **Select a Portlet Type**\
In the right-side panel, click on the portlet type you want to add (for example, Line Chart, Bar Chart, or Text).
2. **Automatic Placement**\
As soon as you click, the chosen portlet appears on your dashboard canvas. By default, it may show a placeholder message like “You currently have no data.”
3. **Configuration**\
Each portlet has its own Configuration button (often labeled **Open Configuration** or represented by a pencil icon). Click this to customize data sources, styling, or other properties.
4. **Adjust as Needed**\
Once added, you can move, resize, or arrange the portlet on your canvas. We’ll cover those steps in more detail in the following sections.
